中产阶层是社会的中坚与稳定器,也是服务性消费品的主要消费者。本文利用上海市统计年鉴中关于人均可支配收入和人均服务性消费支出的面板数据(2000~2012),采用固定效应变系数模型和时间序列研究方法,对中产阶层可支配收入和服务性消费支出之间的关系进行了研究。研究结果表明,可支配收入与服务性消费支出之间存在显著的正相关关系,这种关系并不随着消费者所在阶层的改变而改变;但是,中产阶层的服务性边际消费倾向高于较高收入阶层和较低收入阶层。这些研究结论对政府发展现代服务产业以及企业针对目标市场设计营销策略具有重要的现实意义。
The middle class is the backbone and the stabilizer in a society, and it is also seen the main power for consuming consumer goods of service. On the panel data of per capita disposable income and per capita consumption expenditure on service by the Shanghai Statistical Yearbook (2000-2012), using Fixed-effects variable-coefficient model and the time series, this paper studies the relationship between disposable income and service consumption expenditure of the middle class. The results show that there is a positive relationship between disposable income and services consumption. This relationship does not change with the change of consumers’ class. However, the middle class’s marginal propensity on service consumption is higher than higher income class and lower income class. The conclusions of the study have important implications to the government and firms on making decisions.
