当今时代,经济全球化已使全球各国的经济联系变得愈来愈紧密,对外贸易成为促进各国经济发展的重要手段之一。世界各国均想方设法将本国商品打入国外市场,而具有较高国际知名度的商标能有效提升商品的市场竞争力,并进而获取良好的经济效益。在这一背景下,商标翻译愈来愈引起人们的高度关注。而任何一个商标词均具有来源语文化的含义,商标的翻译是实施跨文化交际的过程,在跨文化交际中具有重要价值。本文阐述了跨文化交际背景下商标翻译的原则和方法。
Nowadays, economic globalization has made the countries’ economies become closer and closer, and foreign trade has also become one of the important means of developing the economy of each country. Countries all over the world manage to sell products into foreign markets. The trademarks with high international publicity can effectively enhance the market competitiveness of the products, which can help the enterprises or countries get economic benefits. In this situation, translation of trademarks has aroused people’s great concern. Any trademark can reflect some concepts or culture of the source language, so the translation of trademarks is to implement a process of intercultural communication. Therefore, translation of trademarks plays an important role in intercultural communication. Under the background of the intercultural communication, the paper puts forward some principles of the translation of trademarks and focuses on the translation methods.
