Economic growth is a crucial factor to human beings, and as such, economic growth theory has attracted intensive research interest. Many economists spend their whole lives exploring solutions to iron out cyclical fluctuations and maintain long-lasting growth. This paper aims to refresh Hayekian growth theory at a high level perspective, introduce technology into Hayekian framework for the first time, and exploit the theoretical implication. In the past, mainstream economics has been drawing pabulum from non-mainstream schools like Austrian. This paper, on the contrary, applies key concepts from mainstream economics into Austrian analytical framework. After analyzing the transmission mechanism of technology in Hayekian framework, this paper finds that introduction of technology factor enhances the explanatory power of Hayekian growth theory.
