This paper makes a comprehensive analysis on the markers and functional perspective of Adjective-predicate sentence. The results show that adjectives need formal markers when they act as predicate from the perspective of diachronic evidence and typology. In modern Chinese, the markers of adjective-predicate sentence in the broad sense mainly includes syntactic, discourse and morphology; the distinctive functions of the markers are bounded, magnitude verification and cognitive grounding.
