The relationship between international strategy and international performance is a classic andimportant topic in international business management. But the results of this relationship are mixed andcontradictory. As a result, the theory of ambidexterity is introduced to this study, which provides a newperspective for the study of the relationship between international strategy and international performance. Thenthe relationship between ambidextrous strategy and international performance is studied. This paper introducethe important variable of firm capabilities to carry on the thorough research. This paper use China Customsdatabase and the database of Chinese industrial enterprises to conduct empirical research. The findings haveshown that there is a positive relationship between ambidextrous strategy and international performance.Furthermore, firm capabilities mediate the relationship ambidextrous strategy and international performance.
