创新是企业实现可持续发展的重要实践方式,数智化时代人工智能企业作为全新的组织载体,引领着新经济形态不断向前演化与发展,但同时也引发了一系列社会问题,加剧了社会对人工智能技术赋能以及未来前景的信任危机。如何基于社会信任等非正式制度为人工智能企业可持续性创新能力赋能成为研究的重要议题。本文以 2010 ~ 2019 年中国 A 股人工智能企业为研究样本,考察社会信任对人工智能企业创新的影响效应,并检验外部正式制度在非正式制度与人工智能企业创新能力中的调节效应,同时,验证不同非正式制度类型之间在驱动人工智能企业提升创新能力过程中产生的替代效应。研究结果表明:(1)社会信任对人工智能企业创新投入与全要素生产率产生显著的正向影响,说明社会信任作为一种社会合法性机制能够改善人工智能企业创新能力,在考虑内生性问题后研究结论依然成立。(2)外部正式制度在社会信任与人工智能企业创新能力之间产生负向调节作用,呈现出基于市场化的正式制度与基于社会信任的非正式制度驱动人工智能企业创新能力的替代效应。(3)儒家文化作为一种非正式制度在社会信任与人工智能企业创新能力(创新投入与全要素生产率)之间产生负向调节作用,呈现出外部非正式制度与社会信任对人工智能企业创新的替代效应。本文的贡献在于丰富了数智化时代人工智能企业创新能力的影响因素研究,基于制度合法性下的制度融合观也为提升人工智能企业创新能力提供了经验思考。
Enterprise innovation is an important practice way for enterprises to achieve sustainable development. Under the digital era, the artififi cial intelligence enterprises as a new organizational carrier, leads the continuous evolution and development of new economic forms in the future. How to improve the sustainable innovation ability of artificial intelligence enterprises has become an important research topic. Traditional studies have confifi rmed the impact of external formal institutions on the innovation capability of enterprises, ignoring the important role of social trust and traditional culture as an informal institution in driving enterprise innovation. Furthermore, based on China's A-share AI enterprises from 2010 to 2019, this paper empirically examines the impact of social trust on AI enterprise innovation, and examines the moderating effect of external formal institutions between social trust and AI enterprises innovation. The results show that social trust has a signififi cant positive effect on the innovation input and total factor productivity of AI enterprises, indicating that social trust as a social legitimacy mechanism can improve the innovation ability of AI enterprises, and the research conclusion still robust after considering the endogenous problem. Secondly, external formal institutions including marketization environment and Confucian culture have a negative moderating effect on the relationship between social trust and AI enterprises innovation, showing the substitution effect of institutional and social trust on the innovation of AI enterprises. The contribution of this paper is to enrich the research on the inflfl uencing factors of the innovation ability of AI enterprises in the age of digital intelligence, and provides experience for promoting the innovation of AI enterprises based on the view of institutions integration.
